Unbelievable…. merchants are mounting Christmas Trees in display areas. Not to be out prepared, a Chapter planning committee met to organize the Saturday, 3
December, MOAA Christmas Party. It’s the same beautiful venue as last year, the Sunset Lanai at Camp Smith, with social hour and pupu at 5:00 PM and dinner at 6:00
PM.
Last year attendees raved about the location, food, and lively Christmas spirit and program, so let’s do it again! Visions of cheerful members singing and trail
dancing are indelible. The rousing entertainers from 2014, Ekolu Makua, are back for a hana hou. If you would like to help us out with decorations, setup, favors,
program and clean up, please contact Mark Torreano at
mmtorreano@gmail.com
or 343-4877.
Our Holiday Buffet entrees are delicious Prime Rib of Beef Au Jus and Baked Salmon with Creamy Dill Sauce, along with Cold and Hot Hors d’oeuvers, salads, and
Coconut Haupia Cake and Chocolate Dobash Cake for dessert. Also, a 4-hour no-host bar is available for your libations and wine at $20 a bottle with dinner.
Please car pool and offer rides to some members who may feel uncomfortable about the night driving. Valet parking will be provided. As part of the season spirit and
community giving, we are asking that attendees provide a nominal ($10) unwrapped gift (or several!) to donate to the "Toys for Tots Program."
